When the Phone Rings

Hong Heejoo is a sign language interpreter who has become mute due to severe depression. She and her husband never exchanged a single conversation for the three years of their arranged marriage. One day, her life takes a harrowing turn when she's taken hostage. "Don't hang up! This isn't a phishing call...!" However, her husband, who was even worse than a stranger, coldly disconnected the call. "Call me when a body is found."

Enraged, Heejoo decides to strike back. She'll threaten her husband anonymously, no matter the cost. But there's a twist: her target is the notorious Blue House spokesperson, a man known for his biting sarcasm.

As the threats escalate, Heejoo begins to question her own sanity. Is this really the same man she married? And why does this twisted game feel so strangely exhilarating?
