The story takes place on the live quiz show Q-1 Grand Prix, where contestants compete for a 10-million-yen prize. During the highly anticipated one-on-one buzzer-quiz final, the climactic last question triggers an incident. In the tense atmosphere, Honjo Kizuna—the opponent facing the protagonist, Mishima—somehow produces the correct answer even though not a single character of the question has been read.
